The Santa mug hoard began way back in the late 1960’s on Braeburn Street in Shenandoah Subdivision. A neighborhood girl had her birthday right before Christmas and her mother gave the tiny Santa mugs, filled with mints, as a favor. I received just a few from the parties I attended. And then in later years, people began giving me the tiny sized and also the bigger cocoa mugs.
Most of these tiny mugs are stamped ‘Japan’s, but a couple are stamped ‘Taiwan’. Dig the prices, way back when.
