Breakfast Coffee Smoothie

This recipe was born during the months leading up to my leaving a bad marriage. My emotions churned constantly back then and eating was just too difficult. I had no desire to eat. Planning meals had always been a joy to me, but during the last year of my marriage nothing was appealing. I lost weight rapidly: fifty pounds in six months. I knew I needed to eat, but chewing took too much energy. So, this shake saved me, so to speak. I still have it every morning.

Ingredients

1/2 cup skim milk

3 tablespoons Maxwell House International French Vanilla Instant Coffee

3 tablespoons Cool Whip (frozen)

1 small banana

2 International Delight French Vanilla Creamer shots (you know, the little blue cups)

1 cup of ice

Put all of the above ingredients in a blender and mix till smoothe and thick. The longer it’s blended the smoother it gets. Pour in a big tall glass. If you wish to top it with more Cool Whip and caramel sauce, go ahead. This coffee shake tastes much like those frappe things from ┬áthe fast food places. Enjoy.
